Firefox Speed Tweaks, And Firefox Chrome Theme
I'll try to keep this short...
Google Chrome rocks. It's extremely fast, sleek, and has few problems. But personally, I cannot live without Firefox's extensions. More specifically, the web developer extension, though DownThemAll comes in as a close second. There are about five other great add-ons but I won't waste your time by rambling about them now.
So after spending a few minutes on Google (I might add that I'm using Google to find out how to mod another app to look like a Google app, and feeling a little bad about it...), I came across three extensions that pretty much turn Firefox into Chrome as well a ton of tweaks to make Firefox screaming fast.

First we'll start with making firefox look like Chrome:
1. Download and install the
Chromifox Extreme theme
Once installed go to the upper right corner and click the
Customize and Control Firefox drop down menu.
Then choose the Chromifox Extreme Options and set all to
Chromifox
2. Download and install the
Now when you go to View / Toolbars you can untic the Menus Toolbar thus freeing up a nice chunk of space. Because we're using the Chromifox theme all the options are now over on the top right side shown in the above pic.
3. Download and install the
autoHideStatusbar add-on
This add-on is another great space saver. Below is a pic of the settings I use. They can be adjusted by going to add-ons then choose options in the autoHideStatusbar section.
Note: If after installing the autohide status bar you get a status bar that goes all the way across the screen simply disable the autohidestatus bar, restart firefox then re-enable it and restart firefox.
Next page is all about speed tweaks.
